CFD |Thermal| Machine Learning Engineer
Inspired by University of Southapmton 64-node Raspberry pi supercomputer, I started building 2-node raspberry pi and compiling OpenFoam,SU2 for parallel computing.
1) This is a low cost solution for introducing high performance computing, parallel computations to Undergraduate students studying in colleges where Clusters and HPC systems are not affordable.
2) Ultimate Objective of this project is to install 24/32 node raspberry pi with complete installation of OpenFoam and SU2 for parallel processing in Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad,Telangana,India as soon the funding gets granted.
Summary:
Key Take away from this for Project:
1) Introductory exposure Message Passing Interface libraries (OpenMP, MPICH2, MVAPICH, IBM - MPI )
2) Fortran and Python application with respect Parallel Programming introduction to Students and Myself.
3) Introduction to Basics knowledge Computer Architectures, Cluster, Linux environment for future Engineers and Scientist.
4) Computing on Raspberry Pi suing LIN-PACK library (Linear algebra package used to measure speed (in terms of FLOPS) of supercomputers)
